Whenever I was having a low period, some spontaneous event or encouragement and assistance from local spectators pulled me out of it. EM was a great event. Its appeal comes from great scenery, helpful and friendly volunteers, and a great bunch of folks to ride with.

Dan Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15681049297313512609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9016510959140495952.post-56316266207521883042013-09-02T09:52:49.913-07:002013-09-02T09:52:49.913-07:00Dan,

The cycling cultural event that PBP has become makes it very supportive of the riders. Endless seems like a quiet lonely painful effort. I can imagine doing PBP but this rides seems much harder.

Cheersbiciakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00659423813175282484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9016510959140495952.post-6268258159660436462013-08-29T19:42:43.767-07:002013-08-29T19:42:43.767-07:00Amazing. I call route 645 the Swatara Gap bypass.

I thought the section after Canton was fun, but if that's flat I must not understand the word. Wonder how many feet of climbing is on that section of road, I'm sure it's at least in the thousands. It's too bad about all the fracking traffic, I rode through later so it died off after a while.
